It is part of the beauty of creating something handmade that results can be exciting and unpredictable. Amy’s Artbarn aims for all customers to leave with a finished pottery piece they have made from scratch. As you may imagine, once in a while things might not go to plan! Although we do our very best to avoid breakages, sometimes pieces do not survive firing – this is the nature of pottery-making! In the event of an unredeemable breakage, Amy’s Artbarn will provide a ‘one-off’ opportunity for you to remake the piece and try again. Generally, if you follow making advice during the classes, workshops and parties, everything should go smoothly and problems like this should not occur.
Amy’s Artbarn workshops need to be booked and paid for in full in advance. Payments can be made by cash, cheque (made payable to ‘Amy’s Artbarn’) or bank transfer and are non-refundable.
If, due to unforeseeable circumstances, a making session or party should have to be cancelled by Amy’s Artbarn, an alternative date will be offered or any deposit fully refunded.
Amy’s Artbarn aims to have pottery pieces ready for collection within 2 weeks of the final class/workshop. Sometimes, for example if pots are not dry enough to be fired by then, this time might extend to 3 weeks.
It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to make Amy’s Artbarn aware of any medical or other needs their child has.
Children are expected to be well behaved as well as willing to learn and have fun!
